We are a family-owned business that is passionate about sharing natural skincare products with Columbus and the world! You will be joining a small team (currently 3 FT and 2 PT associates) where you will play a critical role, in a casual, relaxed atmosphere that is open and welcoming. You will be working at our retail and production space located at 1166 W 5th Ave in Columbus. In addition to in-store and online sales, we wholesale to retailers such as Whole Foods Market and, we sell foaming soap and dispensers to restaurants, bars and other venues who use them in their restrooms and kitchens. Currently, our retail store hours are Mon-Fri 10am - 4pm, Sat 10am - 2pm and closed Sunday.

We are currently hiring for the following position:

RETAIL SALES, CUSTOMER SERVICE + FRONT END OPERATIONS Full Time (approx. 35+ hrs/week)

ROLE: This role is responsible for operating our retail store and front-end operations. You’ll be on your feet and moving much of the day, shifting attention between customers and tasks. Key functions include greeting and educating customers, completing retail sales, managing merchandising, decor and signage, organizing and stocking shelves, answering customer calls and emails. You’ll help maintain and use our website to print, pack and fulfill web and in-store pickup orders. You’ll work with invoicing and be responsible for inventory and purchasing of packaging materials and items we re-sell. And, we’ll put your eye-hand coordination to work with production activities such as labeling, boxing, etc. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in advertising, promotion, social media and new product development. Typical shifts would be M-F from 8-9am to 4-5pm, with ability to flex, plus occasional weekend days (cover for others, holiday hours, etc.)

FIT: The right person for this role has an outgoing personality, day-long positive energy and the ability to delight customers with your interactions. Maturity, self-motivation and a sense of style to take on ownership of this part of the business and make it your own. Be dependable and show up when scheduled. Ability to work occasional weekend days. Basic computer skills. A compatible philosophy and passion for health, wellness and the environment.

GOOD TO HAVE (but not imperative): Knowledge and experience with natural products, ingredients, essential oils, skin care. Retail, customer service or other selling experience. Merchandising. Writing, design, photography, social media or newsletter marketing skills.

GOOD TO KNOW: We have fun and care for each other, we leave try to leave grumpy and whiny at home. Because we are small and flexible, we are often able to adjust things to support your family and scheduling needs. By the same token, we need you to show up dependably because the person that will cover for you has their own job to do. We are currently not providing benefits. We do enjoy a 40% employee discount and lots of free soap!
