IS BEER SOAP REALLY MADE WITH BEER?
Yes! Typically we make soap by blending high-quality oils with lye and water. A chemical reaction called saponification happens, where the lye is used up and the oils are transformed into soap (fatty acid salt) and glycerin, a natural humectant that allows your skin to retain moisture. With beer soap, however, we use beer (or hard cider!) instead of water. Each beer influences the color of the soap differently, while the carbs and sugars help create a rich, silky lather.

DO YOUR BEER SOAP SMELL LIKE BEER?
Our beer soaps are made in a similar manner to our regular bar soaps, but with beer in place of water. The finished product produces a rich, silky lather, with a beautiful color influenced by the beer. That said, it only smells like the delicious essential oils or all-natural fragrances we add, not beer. In the case of the Elvis Juice Beer Soap, however, the essential oils we added make it a scent doppelganger of the Elvis Juice IPA!
